The New BRHS

new brhs

In the newest BRHS site update listen to Dr. Reyes and others share about our upcoming new high school. Dr. Reyes, Superintendent of the Alexander City School System, discusses the vision for the new Benjamin Russell High School, aiming to be the hub for arts, academics, and athletics in Tallapoosa County and central Alabama. The project, which has been in development for years, is now becoming a reality. Key features include a state-of-the-art auditorium, a culinary classroom with professional kitchens, an acoustically designed band room, and a practice field. The facility will also house two gymnasiums, including a competition gym with a seating capacity of 1,200, and a track for competitions. The school is expected to be completed by January 2026, ready for the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year. Dr. Reyes highlights that the new school will attract families, bringing talented musicians, students, and athletes, emphasizing that quality facilities enhance education. The building symbolizes growth and opportunity for the students, staff, and the Alexander City community, reinforcing their commitment to providing an exceptional educational environment.
